History

CPC Founders

We have a long and storied history at Chinese Presbyterian Church (CPC). Established in 1895, CPC has been ministering in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver for well over a century. Having originally been planted in Vancouver's historic China Town, the church moved to the neighborhood of Oakridge in the 1980's.

At CPC, missionaries from the Presbyterian Church in Canada first established a Sunday School in order to help teach the children of the Chinese people. Having blessed CPC with this ministry, we have now expanded this vision to include a Pre-School, Chinese Language School as well as continuing on with the Sunday School.

As we look to the past, we can see where we have come from. Our history has shaped who we are and we look forward to where God is taking us in the future.
