FAQ's

Being a part of any new community can be scary and intimidating. Here we try to put your mind at ease and answer some of the most frequently asked questions that we receive. If you have a question and the answer isn't on this page, please don't hesitate to email our church offices at info@vancpc.ca

Can I just show up for service?

Absolutely! All are welcome to worship with us. However, if you're new, please don't forget to fill out one of our visitor's cards and introduce youself to us so that we can get to know you better.

How often is communion?

Communion is held once a month on the first Sunday of the month.

Am I obligated to take communion?

It is our tradition here at Chinese Presbyterian Church that the communion table is open to any Christian that has been baptized and is a professing member of the Church universal. We ask that if you are not baptized into the Christian Church that you refrain from participating in the Lord's table.

How does a bilingual service work?

From time to time Chinese Presbyterian Church holds combined services between the Chinese Congregation and the English Congregation. On those days, the service is held at 10am with either one of the English praise team or the Chinese Choir helps with leading the service in music. The sermon is interpreted into Cantonese and English. On the whole, combined services are held about four times a year and will be posted on our website when they occur.
